About the artist: Lee Williams has a BA in Graphic Art and Design, over 30 years experience as a graphic artist and a professional freelance artist. Some awards won in the last year include: 1st - sculpture, 1st - charcoal, 1st and 2nd - pastel, 1st - oils, and 3rd - works on canvas, 3rd in watercolor. 2 first place awards in national competitions In 1999 she was elected to serve on the Midwest City Art Board and on a board in 2011-12 to select an art piece for Lake Murray's new nature center. I am presently employed as an illustrator for the OK State Tourism Exhibit and Design Department creating art for brochures, videos, signs and 3-D dioramas with large murals for the nature centers in some of the state parks.
Art has long been my passion. I work in a wide variety of mediums. I work in oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, charcoal, pen-n-ink, prismacolor pencil, and airbrush. I have worked with several 3-D mediums and my job with the OTRD has given me an even wider variety of mediums for large sculptures and murals depicting wildlife and scenery in beautiful Oklahoma. Portraits can be done from photos or sittings and paintings from photos or on location. My fine art is a combination of personal expression nature and what it says to me. In commercial art I can adapt to a variety of styles to accommodate the customers tastes and needs.
